Shape

Asako ( Grade 2 )

A triangle should be triangular and should not be square or round.
Each shape must be differentiated from others and that's what a 'shape' is meant for.

The War among the Circle, the Triangle and the Square
Keiichiro (Grade 5)

Long ago, there lived tribes of the Circle, the Triangle, and the Square.
The Circle were at war against the Square. But it was peaceful in the Triangle.
The war broke out like this; The Circles seemed to ask the Squares not to destroy nature, but the Squares ignored the call and went on destroying it..
After a while the situation got even to the both tribes; the Square had many machines with them so that they could make weapons, though they were suffering from food shortage. On the other hand, the Circles had plenty of food with them though they couldn't produce any weapons as they had no machines.
That's why they both had to rely on the peaceful Triangle.

Imagination from the Photo of Packed Mountain of Tomatoes
by Chisato (Grade 4)
The title of the photo should be "a Jampacked train"
Let's imagine what these tomatoes would say. One of the tomatoes is saying "It's too tight!". Another is shouting "Ouch, You're stepping on my foot!" And another is angry, saying "What a crowd!" The second right one on the top is stepping on the foot of the tomato the one below, and the one below is furious.
I guess big tomatoes are adults and small ones are little kids. In the middle, I can see various tomatoes: those which blow up their cheeks with anger, and those in a hurry.
This photo expresses the train packed with people early in the morning. I hit upon another title of this photo. Let's say, "The special train without any seats."

Circle, Triangle and Square by Atsutaka (Grade 4) Mom went abroad and Daddy is going to cook our dinner tonight. He's going to cook omelet but he made mistakes from the very beginning. He added milk and soap, instead of oil and butter. At last, he puts all the wooden blocks into the pan. He couldn't tell eggs from the wooden blocks that Atsutaka (myself) had put in the refrigerator!
Jumping and dancing in the terrible heat of the pan, the blocks were enjoying an argument.

What is this? by Kotaro (Grade 5) The tomatoes seem to be talking to each other. They could be talking in a low voice about us as we may eat them.
The one in the lower middle and the two small one look as if they were planning to run away from there before being eaten by us. The one in the right corner showing its back and the one on it could be day-dreaming without worrying anything.

Mr. Circle, Mr. Triangle, and Mr. Square Kotaro(Grade 5) The character of Mr. Circle is ,as its shape tells you, kind and calm. But, he is easily bullied because he has such a good-natured character. I hear his company is a clock, a ball, an apple and a tire. Mr. Triangle is terribly mean. His company is a set square and a triangular konjak jelly. Mr. Square is precise in everything and everyone likes him, but he is a little stubborn.
A newspaper reporter went to visit them. Mr. Circle's house was exactly round, and so was everything inside. According to the reporter, Mr. Circle likes his house and the things in his house such as a TV set, a desk, a heater, a closet are all round.
Mr. Triangle's house was in a triangular shape. He played lots of tricks, and it's no wonder many scribbles were seen on the wall which spoke ill of others. Everything inside of his house was all triangular. To the reporter's surprise, even a terrestrial globe was not round but triangular. As the reporter says, "Mr. Triangle said that any shape except for triangular was silly."
And the last was Mr. Square's house. The inside of his house was so neat and everything was in order. Everything in his house was square. When the reporter said to him "Oh! It's amazing! Even the car tires are squared! You can't drive this car, can you?", Mr. Square answered, "I'm a sort of stubborn, so, I manage to drive this."
The article about these houses was a hit among readers.

On Circle, Triangle, and Square

Chisato (Grade 4)

A triangle gives me impressions of being pointed, dignified and arrogant while a triangle in an up side down position seems unstable or uneasy to me. I could manage to find a triangle on a collar of a shirt, in a funnel, and in an iron.
I'll explain the reason why I got such impressions. It goes without saying a triangle is pointed. But, I want to mention the others. I used the word "dignified" because a triangle would hardly fall down even if I pushed it. And the other impression, "arrogant", has something to do with the impression of "dignified".

I am a drop of rain by Tomohiro (Grade 2) I am a raindrop. I was born in a cloud in a sky. I just fell from the cloud today.
