School

School by Asako (Grade 2)
A class is followed by a break, and then comes another class followed by a break and it goes on and on...
We sometimes have fun in field days, swimming lessons, music festival and a school festival, though.
There are, however, other things. I hate quarreling with good friends or being left out of my friends.
I hope happy incidents will happen more often than unpleasant ones.
How can we have fun at school?
How can we all be good friends?
Even if we make rules among us, there would be always a few who aren't pleased with them.
Can anyone tell me what to do?

School by Kenichiro (Grade 3) There are two things I found different at a new elementary school here in Tokorozawa since I moved from Osaka.
The first one was the difference of a break. In Osaka, we have only a ten-minute break in between each class while here we have a twenty-minute break between the second and the third class of the day. I think I am quite happy to move to this school.
The second one was the students' attitude. Once we were playing in a break and then the bell rang telling us to come back to the classroom, most of the classmates were still playing on. It was only after a few minutes that they unwillingly walked back to the classroom. Those who did this were apparently fourth graders and above.
In Osaka, every students, regardless of his or her grades, runs back to the classroom. But this is what only third graders and below do here.

Teacher's face by Chisato (Grade 3) My teacher has two kinds of faces. When some of us don't do his or her homework, he gives them a cool stare. That makes all of us extremely tense.
On the other hand, when some of us write neat handwritings, or speak clearly in class, he gives a warm smile to them

School by Mayu (Grade 6) Every morning I find it very hard to carry my bag to school which, I guess, is as heavy as a dinosaur. It's so hard that I feel as if my shoulder bone would be broken by carrying it. But once I get to school, I have a wonderful time with my friends. During the ten minutes' recess, I have a chat with my friends without a stop.
I want to add that I come to like my school a little better, though only a little, like the size of an ant.

Footsteps by Risa (Grade 4) I was late for school as I had to drop in at a dentist's. When I arrived at school I was all alone at the entrance hall. All I could hear was the sound of my footsteps. The corridor was so quiet that I could hear my heart beating. It seemed that a long time had passed before I managed to open the door to my classroom. I breathed a sign of relief in my mind.
